When founding QLD Flooring, I wanted to create an honest, dependable flooring company that values top quality products, unparalleled expertise and delivering consistently excellent customer service.

I have been lucky enough to do it for almost four decades. It's been my privilege to help create some genuinely massive fit-outs to revitalizing family homes and small offices. The fact that I get to do this with my family, Tom and Sam, makes work even better.

Russell Hunt

Starting his apprenticeship at 15, Russell quickly became proficient in his trade and by 20 was self-employed. A career that allowed him the flexibility to raise his young family, not missing a school carnival, tennis tournament or golfing event. Now with over four decades of experience in professional carpet and vinyl installation, his work ethic has distilled to his children, Tom & Sam, who are now his business partners.

Childhood passions on the tennis court led to overseeing a team of coaches UQ Sport Tennis Centre where she honed her customer service skills. After a working holiday in Japan, she decided to come on board in a permanent way as our client liaison maestro. Sam will be there ensuring your journey from quote to completion runs smoothly.

Tom Hunt

Early ambitions as a disciplined young golfer instilled in Tom a drive for results and awakened his competitive streak. Over 10 years ago, Tom's flooring career started. Dipping his toes at first with a few odd jobs and then making the transition to full time under Russell's mentorship. Finding he not only got a kick out of working with his family and but had a real passion for the trade.
